*****This is a personal entry to remind myself not to do dumb stuff.*****
So everyone knows I am injured but here is a quick recap. Sitting at Winners Circle first day back from an almost surgery required eye injury, as a matter a fact it was a Thursday that I found out I would not have to get surgery and Saturday was my first day back. So I am posted at the store hanging out nursing some High Life with me compadres when some of the neighborhood kids show up. Next thing you know we are jumping over my guy guy Ry Geezys Moms Miata. First it was who can jump over the whole car side to side. Handled. Second it was who can jump over it side to side but this time over the windshield to make it a little harder. Handled. Third it was who can slide across the hood (sorry for the dent Mrs. Grant) the fastest. Handled again. Fourth was who can jump over the passenger seat and into the drivers seat Austin Powers style like you are about to bounce. Here is where things went wrong. So upon my lets say 10th try to land this challenging feat of danger I land with my left foot on the steering wheel and crack ankle broken in half 5 wonderful days at Harborview and a really fun ankle surgery involving 2 great new surgical screws. So Fucking Awesome!!!!!!! Here are the photos of the exciting 1st 4th week follow up visit after surgery you have to look forward to if you ever break your ankle while jumping a Miata. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Greetings:
Agents, allow me to introduce myself. My name is Agent Jensen (aka: Arturo Bandini). I am The Minister of Information here at Stereo. Although Stereo HQ is based in Los Angeles, I reside in San Francisco, the birthplace of our beloved Sound Agency. Yes, the Minister of Information is indeed a real person -- heard, but seldom seen. When I am not pushing important buttons and twisting knobs behind the scenes, or feeding and attending to the hamsters running the wheels that fuel our network control center, I am the individual transmitting top-secret Agency info, cracking encrypted codes, and dancing with wolves in the pale moonlight. Last weekend, myself and Agency ally Yong-Ki Chang of Solitary Arts and Hessenmob Skateboards, embarked to Stereo HQ in Los Angeles for a top-secret Agent gathering. Although I am not yet permitted to brief you on the purpose of this assembly, I can tell you that we have a handful of momentous projects in the works that will aid us with our scheduled takeover. Judgment day is nearing, fellow Agents. I will contact you all individually via albino carrier pigeon 48 hours prior to takeover. The albino pigeons will be carrying messages containing detailed instructions from Co-Captains Pastras and Lee on what to do when the sun begins to morph into the shape of our sacred 45” logo. This will officially mark the beginning of the end for those not onboard with the Agency. Below is a hodgepodge of declassified photos taken at last weekends gathering. Enjoy, Agents! Fondly, The Minister of Information *** FRIDAY Co-Captain Pastras hard at work: Agents Liza and Cole take a break from manning the HQ network (Agent Courtney is MIA): Co-Captain Pastras and Agent Jensen in front of the wall of fame: Agent Jensen and Agency ally Yong-Ki Chang pose with one of the new Stereo 3000 Series prototype decks: Co-Captain Pastras’ art on HQ walls: OG Blind, Mark Gonzales deck on the wall at HQ: A sneak peak at the Stereo/Kangol Collection: A sneak peak at Co-Captain Pastras’ new Etnies shoe: SATURDAY This is how I felt Saturday morning after frolicking with fellow agents the night before: Swung by the Venice Beach skatepark: Watched this dude front flip over ten people kneeling over. The clip does this stunt no justice: Later that night we all went to a show at Lab 101 in Culver City. I thought I got more photos of the art, but guess not…bummed. It was really good show, most definitely worth checking out if you’re in the vicinity: Jessie Hotchkiss was in the show. I hadn’t seen him in years: ![]() Agent Jensen and Co-Captain Pastras: Late night at Co-Captain Pastras’ casa. Ton’s of art! Check some of the Gonz goodies out: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Co-Captain Pastras gave me one of the original illustrations he did for my first book, Left-Handed Stories. (Thank you again and again!): Here we are comparing the original illustration to the one in the book: The next morning Yong-Ki and I woke-up after only three or four hours of sleep and mashed all the way back to San Francisco. I’m beat and feel like I’m coming down with a cold or something, which sucks since I’m off to Washington DC on Thursday, and then off to China for a month this coming Tuesday.
