the first time i met J.R. was, unsurprisingly, at the cha cha. i was there with gabe kerbrat on business. we procured a booth and a couple of drinks while we waited for our, uhhh, associate to arrive.

all of a sudden, this crazy character plops down next to me, his fist clutching a drink with a wild-eyed look look on his face. he was clad in some bonkers outfit, not unlike a tropical bird of sorts, and, in my memory, he is wearing a pirate's eye patch.

i made up the eye patch, but i'm sticking with it.

anyway, dude starts talking a mile a minute, complimenting gabe on his out of control beard and proclaiming him to be a savage. when i was finally able to get a word in edgewise, i turned to homeboy and asked, are you J.R.?.

sure enough, it was the one and only J.R. EWING OF SEATTLE. he was not, of course, who we were waiting for but he sure helped pass the time quickly.

since that fateful night, i have developed a deep affection for our man shooter. he is always one of my favorite boys to run into and i sure do like his style. he has never been anything but kind and gentlemanly to me, and beneath all that crazy street slang and the many nutty tattoos lies a big brain and a giving heart.

although, i will never forgive him for the ROBOCOP.

today is J.R.'s birthday and i can only imagine what sorts of shenanigans will ensue. find out for yourself by reading his always-entertaining BLAH BLOG, which i keep bookmarked and enjoy on a regular basis.

For all the homies who chipped in on my lawyer fees your money did not go to waste. He was able to work out a pretty good plea deal for 14 months. I've decided to take it. With good time that will be only nine and a half months. I've already served 3 months, so I'll have to spend a little over a month more in King County then I'll get sent to Shelton for 3 to 6 weeks then I'll get to do work release back in Seattle so you'll probably run into me on my way to work before summer time. A big thanks to all of you who have supported me. A bigger thanks to the homies who visited me the hard way (you know who you are)

My new favorite photo guy is Corey Arnold. Corey is a fish boy and superstar of the Discovery Channel's Deadliest Catch had a feature, "How To Be An Alaskan Fisherman" on Fecal Face I found to be super rad. The idea of an art gallery filled with pictures and paintings of cat holes provided a great deal of laughter on the way home for dinner last night. Now it is really happening!

A judge has just ordered Paris Hilton to 45 days in the clink for violating her probation. She begins serving on June 5th and if she doesn't serve on or before then she will get 90 days. The judge said she must do all the time and is not allowed a work release, use of an alternative jail or electronic home monitoring in lieu of jail. She will serve at a woman's jail in Lynwood, CA.

Dude she is going to d somthing stupid this weekend I can just feel it ! Is she going to catch a beat down in the clinker ? We will find out shortly !
